Award-Winning Hereford Bulls Both Past & Present

Over the last 20 years the herd has been increasingly line breeding to the highly successful sire Brook Finalist, who has had a tremendous influence on the Hereford breed in recent decades. In fact, 7 of our recent stock bulls, Laxfield Timpanist, Laxfield Jubilee, Laxfield Jordan, Badlingham Beresford, Mara Triumph, Haven Union Jack and Lawford Wellington each have Brook Finalist in their pedigree.

Laxfield Timpanist

Sire Mara Triumph
Dam Laxfield Lady Lynda 3rd

Laxfield Timpanist has proved to be an outstanding sire for us, siring over 100 registered calves. As a proven sire, his daughters now form the foundation of the herd proving to be excellent breeding cows with femininity, correct structure, milk, teat placement and width of pelvis. Timpanist’s sons have excellent conformation, feet, plenty of stretch, as well as calving ease and have been very popular with local dairy and suckler farmers.

Three of the greatest female lines in the breed are close up in Timpanist’s pedigree, namely Rowington Lady Lynda, Badlingham Blossom and Sherlow Model. He is now being used by artificial insemination.
