Laxfield Timpanist
Laxfield Timpanist has proved to be an outstanding sire for us, siring over 100 registered calves. As a proven sire, his daughters now form the foundation of the herd proving to be excellent breeding cows with femininity, correct structure, milk, teat placement and width of pelvis. Timpanist’s sons have excellent conformation, feet, plenty of stretch, as well as calving ease and have been very popular with local dairy and suckler farmers.

Laxfield Jefferson
(AI) by Clipston Robert. Photograph taken at two years old after running with cows and heifers.
Jefferson is an original population Hereford from the Home of the Breed. He is a well-structured bull with excellent length, conformation and breed character, along with exceptional fleshing ability and docility, all traits that the original population Herefords are renowned for.
His sire, Laxfield Ballad, has been very successful for us. His dam Laxfield Julia 4th is one of our top-breeding females with an abundance of milk, being from the legendary Julia Vern female line.
Jefferson’s calving ease figures place him in the top 5% of the breed. His first calves show excellent growth and conformation. Jefferson is particularly recommended for use on heifers and cows requiring an improvement in conformation and easy fleshing.
With great sires from the past, such as Vern Nobel, Wenlock Vulgan and Debonair close up in his pedigree this is an opportunity to acquire the genetics of one of the best young original population bulls in the breed. Tested clear of all genetic defects.
